On January 5-6 2023, a representative of LBM, Eng. Adam Balcerzak visited the Saint-Cyr Military Academy (France).
During the visit, we summarized the effects of the project co-implemented in recent months with cadets from Saint-Cyr: Pierre Pailleux and Justin Perrot, under the substantive supervision of prof. Aline Hauffschmitt.
On behalf of LBM, the project was implemented by Marcin Łączyński, MSc and Eng. Adam Balcerzak under the supervision of prof. Tomasz Gackowski.
We were looking for solutions that would enable the Unreal 4 game development engine to communicate with the iMotions software so that the data collected during biometric measurements (Facetracking/GSR/Eyetracking) during the game would be synchronized in time, and individual events in the game (e.g. shot, death of an enemy, player death, hit) were automatically tagged with appropriate markers.
The final effect is a simple shooter game that meets the above assumptions, and the project itself will result in further research, articles and conference presentations. In addition to the summary, there was also a commission defense of the project, during which students successfully presented the course of the internship and the effects of the project for evaluation. Moreover the cooperation between the Saint-Cyr university and the LBM was so efficient that visits by more cadets are planned in the future.
