The Head of the Laboratory of Media Studies Professor Tomasz Gackowski as vice-chair at the Mediatization Section of ECREA.

Professor Tomasz Gackowski has just been elected the vice-chair of ECREA's Mediatization Section! The other section's management team members are Roman Horbyk (Södertörn University, Sweden; chair) and Katalin Feher (University of Public Service, Hungary; vice-chair). We wish you every success in leading the section! 

The other members of the management team are:

• Robert Horbyk - chair (PhD, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Sodertorn University, Sweden) is a media researcher whose work is mainly on fake news, media and war, history of media and culture, primarily in Eastern Europe.
• Katalin Feher - vice-chair (University of Public Service, Hungary) is researcher and expert in AI-driven digital media. Broadly, her scope refers to the social-cultural impact of AI-technology. She is a Fulbright Research Scholar (US), Founder and PI of AI Media Research, Janos Bolyai Research Fellow at Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HU), Senior Research Fellow at Budapest Business University Cybereconomy Research Centre & Future of Higher Education Research Center (HU), head of research and innovation at Digital Identity Agency.

ECREA is a learned society of communication scholars devoted to development of communication research and higher education in Europe.

ECREA is organised into 25 thematic Sections, each developing a distinctive field of communication studies, 4 Temporary Working Groups which focus on emerging or underrepresented fields within media and communication studies, and 3 permanent Networks representing specific socio-demographic categories of scholars.
