Laboratory of Media Studies organized a thought-provoking international scientific seminar called "World of Media Transition." The event served as a platform for engaging discussions and insightful presentations on various media-related topics.

The event was moderated and lead by dr hab. Tomasz Gackowski, prof. UW.

  • Prof. Caja Thimm from the University of Bonn challenged our perspectives on the AI revolution by exploring personal autonomy and (dis)trust in human-centered AI systems.
  • Prof. Betul Czerkawski from the University of Arizona bridged theory and practice, showcasing the potential of Mixed Reality Technologies in instructional design.
  • Dr. hab. Piotr Siuda, prof. UKW, representing the University of Kazimierz Wielki in Bydgoszcz, Poland, presented an insightful project report on media sports and esports during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Dr. Karolina Brylska, dr. hab. Anna Mierzecka, and Adam Balcerzak from the University of Warsaw shared insights from the Laboratory of Media Studies, offering perspectives on modern media discourses.
