In September 2023, the team of the Laboratory of Media Studies, began another edition of the international research internship, conducted jointly with École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr.

During this year's edition of the collaboration, two students from the French university, under the guidance of dr hab. prof. ucz. Tomasz Gackowski and under the supervision of: Marcin Łączyński, M.Sc. and Adam Balcerzak, M.Sc., will prepare a puzzle game project, which we will use to study the biometric aspects of various behaviors and cognitive processes occurring in players.

As a reminder, a few facts about the previous cooperation with the French military academy: in early December 2023, the UW Media Studies Laboratory team completed a project conducted jointly with cadets of École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr.

The three-month internship, carried out under the leadership of Dr. Prof. Tomasz Gackowski and the supervision of Marcin Łączyński, M.Sc., and Adam Balcerzak, M.Sc., resulted in the design of a computer game that simulates shooting training, which was adapted to record data on the state of the game in real time and integrate data from the game with the results of biometric measurements of the player's behavior (https://www.lbm.uw.edu.pl/en/2-uncategorised/432-visit-to-saint-cyr-military-academy-guer-france).
