We have recently completed another highly productive and rewarding participation at the International Communication Association 2025 conference.
The research team from the Laboratory of Media Studies once again had the opportunity to present their work internationally, sharing the outcomes of innovative academic projects.
One of the papers presented was titled The Leader Effect: Behavioral and Declarative Dimensions of Polarization – Experimental Research on the Impact of Images of Polish Political Leaders on Voters' Reception of Political Messages. The presentation, delivered by Tomasz Gackowski, Marcin Łączyński, Marlena Sztyber-Popko and Anna Mierzecka, drew considerable interest and contributed meaningfully to the discussion on political communication and polarization.
Another presentation, Risk Propensity and Decision-Making in Digital Games: An Exploratory Study Among Polish VR Chat Players, was delivered by Karolina Brylska, Tomasz Gackowski, Marcin Łączyński and Adam Balcerzak. This study explored decision-making and risk in digital gaming environments, offering a fresh perspective on communication practices in virtual spaces.
We sincerely congratulate all presenters and thank them for their valuable contribution and outstanding representation of our institution at this prestigious international forum.
