On Thursday and Friday, members of our team participated in the conference organized by the Mediatization ECREA section, where Marlena Sztyber-Popko serves as vice-chair and prof. Tomasz Gackowski as co-chair.

The conference opened with an outstanding keynote lecture by Simone Natale from the University of Turin titled “AI and the Automation of Deception”.

This was followed by a panel discussion led by Tomasz Gackowski, with distinguished panelists: Simone Natale, Bieke Zaman, Marton Demeter, and Katalin Feher.

The following day, Marlena Sztyber-Popko moderated the session “Social Media, Disinformation, and Political Communication Challenges”, and in the afternoon, a cooperative presentation was delivered, titled “From Declaration to Reaction: How Artificial Intelligence Transforms Journalistic Work – A Biometric Experiment” (Tomasz Gackowski & Marlena Sztyber-Popko, University of Warsaw).
