We are pleased to announce the beginning of a broad scientific collaboration between the University of Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University in the field of media studies and social communication. The agreement was signed by Prof. Zygmunt Lalak – Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Warsaw, and Prof. Wojciech Macyk – Vice-Rector for Science at the Jagiellonian University.
The Laboratory of Media Studies team led by Prof. Tomasz Gackowski and the Jagiellonian University team led by Prof. Agnieszka Hess will jointly carry out interdisciplinary research projects, organize conferences and workshops, and promote knowledge about the contemporary media environment. The research will also use advanced biometric technologies, including eye-tracking and facial micro-expression analysis.
One of the goals of the collaboration is also the establishment of a branch of the Laboratory of Media Studies at the Jagiellonian University.

- Prof. Agnieszka Walecka-Rynduch – Vice-Director of the Institute of Journalism, Media and Social Communication, Jagiellonian University
