Representatives of the LBM UW - Anna Mierzecka and Natalia Strąk - presented their research at this year’s ISIC: The Information Behaviour Conference in Montreal.
ISIC is one of the leading international conferences dedicated to information behaviour research.
The conference promotes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of information, bringing together perspectives from information science, library and information studies, communication and media studies, computer science, education, management, psychology, sociology, and related disciplines. Its focus extends beyond purely technological issues, exploring information as a complex social phenomenon across a wide range of contexts.
Anna Mierzecka presented the paper “Is trust enough? Parents’ health information behaviour around childhood vaccination”, which explores parents’ health information behaviours related to childhood vaccination. The full paper is available here.
Natalia Strąk presented the poster “Emotional responses to AI-supported versus conventional search: A case study of library and information science students”, co-authored with Marcin Łączyński and Anna Mierzecka. The study examines emotional responses associated with AI-supported and traditional information search practices among library and information science students. The conference proceedings, which include the poster abstract, are available here.
We congratulate the authors and are proud to see research conducted at LBM UW presented at one of the leading international conferences dedicated to information behaviour research.
