CBOS – Public Opinion Research Center has granted honorary patronage to the 17th National Conference on Media Methodology!
This is an important distinction for us and a recognition of the significance of this year’s debate on the role of social media in the contemporary world.
On 19–20 November 2026 in Warsaw, researchers, doctoral students, and practitioners will come together to discuss the challenges facing media and social communication.
The conference theme:
“(Un)Social Media: Problem, Phenomenon, or Trend”

During the conference, we will discuss topics including:
▪️ the impact of algorithms and social media platforms on society,
▪️ disinformation, deepfakes, and AI-generated content,
▪️ the attention economy and the design of engaging digital environments,
▪️ polarization and information bubbles,
▪️ regulation, platform accountability, and the limits of freedom of speech,
▪️ digital well-being, privacy, and cybersecurity.
On 19 November, the 16th edition of the Methodological Workshops will also take place, under the theme:
“Digital Agora or Algorithmic Megaphone? How Social Is Platform X?”
