On 21st October in the Laboratory of Media Studies held a workshop on the usability of internet services. Participants of the Third Scientific Conference were: "Logistics and Media Management: Regional Media, New Media, Monetization."
The conference organized by the Chair of Information Technology for Media is a cyclical scientific undertaking of the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies of the University of Warsaw. The subject is primarily concerned with issues such as the application of new technologies in the media and modern methods of managing media companies. The issues of functioning of the regional media market (private as well as local government), globalization and IT security are also discussed. This is a widely understood scope of media logistics, a new innovative field of study (first and second degree taught by the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies of the University of Warsaw). Meeting the suggestions of previous conference participants, this year, the staff of the Department of Information Technologies for Media organized workshops to familiarize us with the issues related to usability of web services. The workshop was led by PhD. Krzysztof Kowalik, assistant professor of TIM, dealing with the study of local government communication.
