Knowledge Sharing Communities Workshop (#university&emmahub)
The Knowledge-Share Communities #university&emmahub two-day workshop kicked off at the University of Warsaw's Faculty of Journalism, Information and Bibliology on November 16-17, 2023. This is one of the most important scientific events this fall at our Faculty, with researchers from as many as 18 countries participating.
The coordinators of the workshop include members of the Laboratory of Media Studies team: Anna Mierzecka, PhD, and Karolina Brylska, PhD.

LBM representation at ECREA 2023 conference in Porto

On September 12-14, 2023, a member of the Laboratory of Media Studies team, Marlena Sztyber MA, presented the results of her research at the international conference "ARS 2023: Disrupted Or Disruptive Audiences? From Reception To Participation In A Post-Truth Era" organized by The ECREA Audience and Reception Studies Section, in e collaboration with SOPCOM Portugal, Lusófona University/CICANT and NOVA University/ICNOVA.
The presented study is part of a doctoral dissertation being prepared under the supervision of dr hab. prof. ucz. Tomasz Gackowski.

Competition for the position of assistant professor (postdoc) for the project "Maintaining an integrated research infrastructure for media behavioral studies at LBM UW"
The Laboratory of Media Studies at the Univeristy of Warsaw invites all individuals with a PhD or postdoctoral degree in the social sciences or humanities and expertise in cognitive psychology, psychology of emotion and/or anthropology/ethnography and/or ludology/game design and research who are interested in behavioral research and biometric measurement to apply for the Adjunct (postdoc) position in the research staff group.

Another project in collaboration with École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr
In September 2023, the team of the Laboratory of Media Studies, began another edition of the international research internship, conducted jointly with École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr.
During this year's edition of the collaboration, two students from the French university, under the guidance of dr hab. prof. ucz. Tomasz Gackowski and under the supervision of: Marcin Łączyński, M.Sc. and Adam Balcerzak, M.Sc., will prepare a puzzle game project, which we will use to study the biometric aspects of various behaviors and cognitive processes occurring in players.
