On June 17, 2023, a Webinar was held in the series: "Media research: theory and practice".
At the invitation of the Forum of Young Media Scientists and Communicators, Dr. hab. Tomasz Gackowski, Prof. UW, had the pleasure of leading the webinar entitled "Biometrics in social research".
Professor Caja Thimm's visit to the Laboratory of Media Studies
The day before the Laboratory of Media Studies organized a scientific seminar entitled "The World of Media Transition," we were visited by Professor Caja Thimm of the University of Bonn.
Caja Thimm is Professor of Media and Intermedia Studies at the University of Bonn, where she heads the Department of Media Studies.
Caja Thimm has been involved in online media research for many years - particularly on issues related to social networks such as Facebook or Twitter, mobile communication or digital democracy.
Since 2020, Prof. Thimm has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Association for Adult Education. There, she is particularly concerned about the challenges associated with the digitization of adult education.

The Laboratory of Media Studies at the University of Warsaw has a pleasure to invite to a scientific seminar „The World of Media Transition” organized within the framework of Action II.3.4 of the Excellence Initiative - Research University The seminar will be held on June 20, 2023, from 11:00 to 15:00, at the Faculty of Journalism, Information, and Book Studies, University of Warsaw, located at 2/4 Bednarska Street, room 2.13 (1st floor).
