VIII OKMM: Communication in the world of applications

Media researchers are increasingly investigating the application concept and its functionality. This space of scientific exploration seems particularly important in the times of progressive mediation successive areas of life. We encourage you to discuss the problems, doubts and issues surrounding the communication process in the world application, which will be the centerpiece of the two-day medieval gathering in Warsaw at the 8th Methodological Conference of the Media Studies. As every year, next to plenary (November 17) will be held methodological workshops media studies researcher (November 16). The seventh edition of the workshop was divided into three sections - Usability (UX) and Design, Facetracking and VR (Virtual Reality).
Grants for innovative technologies for the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Book Studies, University of Warsaw

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education (No. 223335 / E-343 / R / 2017 of 1.03.2017) has received a special grant to cover the restructuring costs for 2017-2018, "Media Analysis Center" amounting to more than 2 million zloty.
With grants, the Faculty will fund the infrastructure needed for modern media and bibliological research, integrating the media, bibliologists and informatologists. Within the project the adaptation of the premises will be carried out in the building of the Faculty at ul. Bednarska 2/4, then equipped with specialized equipment and software for modern media reception of widely understood media.
At the disposal of researchers will include Equipment for game testing, as well as an integrated system for monitoring and analyzing audiovisual media delivered with biometric analysis of the recipient (ophthalmology and mimic expression (FACIAL EMG) After completing and integrating the equipment, WDIiB will have the only facility in Central and Eastern Europe with such an extensive infrastructure that enables complex media content testing and collection.
The implementation of the project entitled "Media Analysis Center" is foreseen for 2017-2018. The project is coordinated by: Prof. Dariusz Kuźmina (Deputy Dean for Finance, WDIiB UW), PhD. Tomasz Gackowski and PhD. Karolina Brylska (Leaders of the Laboratory of Media Studies of the University of Warsaw).
