Professor Tomasz Gackowski has just been elected the vice-chair of ECREA's Mediatization Section! Wiktoria Nylec received the second prize in the #mediastery competition for the best master's thesis entitled: "National identity during the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border on the example of the weekly "Sieci" written under the supervision of dr hab. prof. University of Warsaw Tomasz Gackowski 🏆.

On March 16-19, 2023, a member of the team of the Laboratory of Media Studies of the University of Warsaw, Marcin Łączyński, participated in the conference and workshop for analog game developers: DESIGNER CAMP.
Designer Camp is a unique event that includes 4 days of lectures, game tests and networking with board game developers from all over Poland.
We are excited to announce that the Laboratory of Media Studies team members will co-host a minitrack "Biometrics in Product and Service Design" at the 57th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS-57) in January 2024!
The minitrack will focus on the latest research using data acquired through biometric and behavioral measurements in product and service design. It is scheduled as part of the "Decision Analytics and Service Science" track at the HICSS-57 conference.
The co-chairs of the minitrack will be prof. Caja Thimm (University of Bonn), prof. Piotr Siuda (Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz), prof. Tomasz Gackowski (University of Warsaw) and dr Karolina Brylska (University of Warsaw).
