This year’s ECIL – European Conference on Information Literacy – has come to an end!

It has been an exceptionally inspiring event – full of excellent presentations and engaging discussions in the picturesque city of Bamberg.

On the first day of the conference (22 September 2025), during the panel “AI Integration and Readiness in Higher Education”, prof. Anna Mierzecka presented the results of the study: “Of course, I can do it – I just don’t want to!”: An Emotional and Structural AI Readiness Scale, co-authored with prof. Małgorzata Kisilowska-Szurmińska, dr Karolina Brylska, and dr Marek Deja.

Over the past few days, we had the pleasure of hosting Anna Bureiko, a PhD student at Vytautas Magnus University, International Communications Manager at YouControl, and an experienced journalist.

As part of her doctoral research, Anna conducted interviews with members of our team – experts in artificial intelligence and media. The conversations focused on the role of AI in communication and media studies, as well as the challenges and prospects related to the development of new technologies.

We are glad we could share our knowledge and experience to support a young researcher in her academic project. Fingers crossed for the next steps!
