In November 2025, the Laboratory of Media Studies at the University of Warsaw organised the 16th National Methodological Conference of Media Researchers, preceded by the 15th edition of the Methodological Workshops.

The workshops were led by Dr Iwona Leonowicz-Bukała and Dr Mikołaj Birek.

This year’s edition of our conference, entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Media, Politics and Culture: The Social Dimension of the AI Revolution” was filled with inspiring conversations, new perspectives, and great energy.

On 26 November, Professor Tomasz Gackowski was a guest on Radio Kampus. He spoke about the research conducted at the LBM, including work on the spiral of silence.

Listeners had the opportunity to learn more about the project behind the scenes and hear about some of the most interesting findings from the analyses.

With great pleasure, we announce a competition as part of the project “Maintenance of an Integrated Research Infrastructure for Media and Behavioral Studies at the LBM UW” (No. 157/561556/SPUB/SP/2023).

Purpose of the competition: to involve employees of the University of Warsaw who wish to conduct research using biometric and behavioral measurement tools and to develop their scientific potential.

We invite all University of Warsaw employees to participate — including those who do not yet have experience with biometric measurements but understand their value and have ideas for their application. The LBM UW team will provide training in equipment operation as well as substantive and organizational support.
